Weekly Update: April 30, 2016

Building Big League Citizens Begins with You
We rely on parents and fans to set a good example with their behavior on game day. After hearing some complaints, we feel the need to share a reminder on appropriate fan behavior. Even seasoned parents can use a refresher on our expectations.

 Memorial Day Tournament

Harlem Little League will sponsor a pair of teams to participate in Downtown Little League's Memorial Day Weekend tournament. We will sponsor teams at the Majors and AAA level. Tryouts will be announced via email once details are finalized, but please consider your family's schedule before sending your child: Players must be available for games May 27-30 and be willing to commit to additional practices between now and tournament time.

 Picture Day is Coming

Team picture day will be held on Saturday, May 14. Pictures are held at Shea Field and organized around game schedules. Ordering information and a full schedule will be announced soon. Because we have so many kids to photograph, it's important for all teams to assemble before their assigned time. We cannot stall team pictures for late arrivals.

Photographer Wanted

Speaking of pictures, we have a select group of talented parents who have volunteered as league photographers. They have been cleared by our volunteer process and agreed to share their images with us. You may see these photographers, identified by media badges, on the field in future weeks. We are still actively searching for a photographer at Shea Field. If you're interested, please email [email protected] for more info.

 Community Announcements

The Five Boro Bike Tour will be cycling through town tomorrow, Sunday, May 1. We've got the scoop on street closures to make getting around town a bit easier...
