Harlem Little League Opening Day Set for April 2

Harlem Little League kicks off its 32nd season of baseball on Saturday, April 2, and all are invited to its traditional Opening Day parade, which processes through the streets of Harlem. All are invited to join us as we celebrate the life and legacy of long-time volunteer and former president Gwen Scott.

The parade steps off from the school yard at Eagle Academy for Young Men of Harlem on 135th Street and Edgecombe Avenue at 9 a.m. and heads through Harlem to Marcus Garvey Park, where a brief ceremony is held before the "play ball!" pronouncement is made, sending more than 300 Little Leaguers off to fields across the neighborhood for the day's games.

More Key Dates for the 2022 Season

All Star Games: Sunday, June 19
Closing Day: Saturday, June 25
Tournaments for AAA and Majors Divisions are held over Memorial Day Weekend. The Little League International Tournament kicks off in later June and continues through August, or until the team is eliminated.
